from Los Angeles northward thru Big Sur to San Francisco, onward up along coast thru northern Cal & Oregon coast , into WA thru Olympics NP, to Olympia & Seattle, upward to Bellingham, another loop thru greater Seattle area, & 3 hiking trips thru Cascades (cascade pass, maple pass, & yellow aster), onward thru Wenatchee & to Tri- Cities (did the Manhattan Project tour), then to Pullman for WSU football game, across the range towards Boise, toured Hells Canyon & Heavens Gate, also Louie's Lake trail near McCall, then into Boise for a few days (Boise State football game), southward towards Nevada via Winnemuca- then Tahoe Reno- into Sacramento, San Francisco (Blue Angels show too foggy), Palo Alto tennis for a few days, heard sad news of beloved aunt dying, back thru Big Sur grieving, into Central & Southern cal
